Illinois Announces 10-Day Back-to-School Tax Holiday
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker launched a ten‑day sales‑tax holiday from Aug. 7‑16, lowering the rate on qualifying back‑to‑school items from 6.25% to 1.25% with a $125 cap on clothing and shoes and no cap on supplies.
