Transmissible Cancer Found in Lake Memphremagog Catfish
Scientists have identified a melanoma‑type transmissible cancer in brown bullhead catfish from Lake Memphremagog, with about one third of sampled fish showing skin tumours, marking the first known case of such a cancer in fish.
